Olney Field Hockey 2015: Clinic & House League Play-Saturdays, September 19th- October 24th
Field Hockey “FUN” damentals Clinic for players (K-4th):
Our clinic will be focused on teaching our new players the basic fundamentals of field hockey including stick rules, fundamental principles, rules of the game moving into a more team oriented approach, all with SUPER FUN drills and games.
Dates/Time: Saturdays beginning September 19th from 12-1:30 pm; each clinic will focus on a different set of fundamentals.
Uniforms: Olney will provide a pinney for all of their clinic players.
Registration is $65.00 for the 7 week Clinic session (K-4th); each player receives a reversible pinney.
Registration is $85.00 for the 7 week House League (5-8th); each player receives a reversible pinney.

Competitive House League for players (5th-8th grade):
Players are placed In-house teams following registration.
Practices: Begin week of September 1st and are held 2x/week at local area high schools until September 18th, then players participate in one weeknight practice and one Saturday game.
Games: Begin the week of September 19th and end October 24th (rain date on October 31st) and will be all played at OBGC/Freeman Fields.
Uniforms: Olney will provide a uniform (t-shirts and kilts). Kilts are expected to be returned at the end of the season.
Equipment for Clinic and House League:
Clinic: Olney will provide a pinney. Players are required to have a mouth guard and shin guards. Googles are optional. Players can bring their own stick; Olney will have sticks available for players to borrow during clinic sessions.
House League: Olney provides uniforms and specialized goalie gear. Players are required to have a field hockey stick, mouth guard, reversible shin guards, white and black socks and field shoes (cleats and/or sneakers); googles are optional. Field hockey sticks are available to use for the season.
Our teams are coached by area high-school players who know the game, together with the help of parent volunteers. OBGC provides NYSCA (National Youth Sports Coaches Alliance) certification training and encourages training through US Field Hockey.
