Coaches:

OBGC is always looking for good coaches for our children.   All head and assistant coaches are required to pass a mandatory background check.

Play-offs:

To encourage our players on learning and enjoying the game of Soccer, standings are kept during the regular season for divisions U10 and older.  There is minimum play time for players of one-half a game. As weather permits, all teams make the Play-offs. (The win and loss records are used for seeding the Play-offs.)

Equipment:

OBGC provides each player with a shirt/jersey. Shorts and socks available upon request. However, each player is responsible for providing their own shin guards, which are required and must be worn in order to participate.

Soccer cleats are recommended but not required.  Cleats that have a toe cleat on the bottom of the shoe are prohibited; as is the use of metal cleats.

Registration:

Due to a rapidly growing program and a limited number of fields and volunteer coaches, OBGC is forced to limit the number of players in each League and on each team.  Please register as early as possible.

If you have questions regarding Registration, please contact: obgcadm@obgc.com

Requests:

There are no guarantees that any requests can be honored.  The league reserves the right to balance team rosters as necessary.

Any requests for coaches and carpools will be prioritized by the registration date.

Any requests to play up a League level will also be prioritized by registration date.

No requests to play up will be honored until after registration closes.

Please indicate if your child will need a special uniform size in the carpool request field.

No-Earrings Policy:
Earrings are not allowed to be worn at any game, practice or clinic.
This restriction applies to all age groups. It is recommended that players who are planning to get their ears pierced wait until the end of the season to do so since players will not be allowed to cover new ear piercing with tape or band-aids. Additionally, players who cannot remove new ear piercing due to medical restrictions will not be allowed to participate until they can do so. For the safety of all players, the no-earrings policy will be strictly enforced by all directors, coaches and referees.
